This monastery is located in West Orange, NJ, at 29 Ridgeway Ave. Built by the Schweinler family over a century ago, the property was modeled after a house in Saint Cloud, France. The family donated the house to the Catholic order of the Augustinian Recollects several decades ago and it’s been the home of their monastic community ever since.
West Orange, NJ, is easily reachable via public transit, either by bus or train from New York City and Newark. The town is close enough to major urban centers, but far enough to be peaceful. Newark airport is also easily reachable via car.
