Alms Round (Pindapata) in Downtown South Orange

August 20 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am EDT

Our resident monastics will be in South Orange on alms round, the ancient Buddhist practice of collecting alms food, from 10am to 11am.

Buddhist monastics rely on the generosity of others. The alms round (pindapata) is a traditional practice where lay people offer food to monastics to sustain their spiritual practice for the day.

If you’d like to make an offering to the Empty Cloud monastics, you will be able to spot them along points on South Orange Avenue and Village Plaza near the South Orange train station, between the times of 10am and 11am. Afterwards, you may find them near Spiotta Park.
