5-DAY RETREAT: The Peaceful Revolution
January 6 @ 8:00 pm - January 11 @ 4:00 pmFree
How can one bring about social justice without sacrificing one’s commitment to serenity and compassion?
The Peaceful Revolution weeklong retreat is designed to empower activists and participants from all walks of life to change the world one moment at a time, peacefully. The retreat will feature a series of lectures by Ven. Jampa Kunchog on the theme of conflict resolution, interspersed with mindfulness training and meditation sessions led by Bhante Suddhāso, to empower you to be the change you want to see in the world.
The lectures are based on Ven. Jampa Kunchog’s book “The Art of War and Peace.” The book talks about the psychology of determination and conflict resolution, describing the means by which to attain success and our ability to understand what is necessary to extend our capabilities beyond what we presently believe to be achievable.
The meditation sessions led by Bhante Suddhāso will focus on developing positive mental qualities that directly support our efforts, such as mindfulness, compassion, and equanimity.
